5 lbs of Smoked Wild Alaska Salmon

Back to Items

Back by popular demand, Gary has donated 5 lbs of home-smoked Wild Alaska Salmon for the benefit of our bidders as well as student education in Rwanda. Gary Katsion joined Kittelson & Associates in 1986 and was instrumental in growing the firm into what it is today. He and his wife, Pam Rogers, own and operate Clam Gulch Lodge on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. The Lodge offers year-round Alaskan adventure packages for outdoor enthusiasts.

Here is a description of the smoked salmon from Gary:

Wild Alaska salmon is one of the best tasting and healthy seafood products available on our planet. This salmon was caught by neighbors at their traditional set net site in Kasilof, Alaska. The fish was caught in Cook Inlet, a salt water source, before it entered the local fresh water river to spawn. Salmon caught in salt water are at the peak of their freshness. We smoked this salmon at Clam Gulch Lodge using a special (and secret) brine process before being slow smoked and then finished with lemon-pepper seasoning and brown sugar. The five pounds of smoked salmon will come in individual packages of full salmon fillets (approximately 24 to 30 ounces). This serving size will make a great appetizer, with or without crackers, for small gatherings of up to ten people. Other uses for the smoked salmon would be in eggs for breakfast, crumbled up in a cream based soup for chowder, crumbled in an Alfredo sauce over pasta, and mixed with cream cheese for a dip. Enjoy the smoked salmon from Alaska and do not be afraid to get creative.

With a description like that it's got to be good!

Thank you Gary and Pam!
